Berbere is a key spice mixture in Ethiopian cooking.
Keep in an airtight container and use as required.
- 2 tbsp Chilli Powder
- 1 tbsp Black Peppercorns
- 1 tsp Cinnamon bark
- 1 tsp Ginger (ground)
- 1/2 tsp Ajwain (optional)
- 1/4 tsp Cloves
- Blend all spices together to a fine powder
- Use as specified by the recipes
