If you still buy your cranberry sauce in a jar, stop wasting your money. Cranberry Sauce is the easist thing in the world to make. Minimum ingredients, minimum effort, minimum time, tailored to your own personal tastes. This is the traditional sauce for turkey and cold meats, but with a hot chili twist. Adjust the quantity of sugar to taste. 60g gives a sharp sauce, up to 100g a sweat sauce.
Cooking Time – approx 30 minutes
- 300g fresh Cranberries
- 60-100g Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Chili Flakes (optional)
- Rinse cranberries under running cold water and drain. Transfer to a small saucepan.
- Add sugar and grind in chili flakes
- Cover and bring up to the boil. Reduce heat and simmer for up to 30 minutes, stirring occassionally. Cranberries will burst and fall into the sauce. Stir to ensure the sauce doesn’t catch on the bottom of the pan.
